Amenities

The Bed & Breakfast at Barltett Farm has a spacious living room, a perfect place for guests to gather, watch TV or read a book. It has a working fireplace that we are more than happy to light if you are planning on a night in; or to enjoy after returning from dinner. There is a TV with a DVD player. We have a selection of DVD’s available if you’re in the mood for a movie. A small dining table at one end is great for games or puzzles. It also comes in handy for laptops. WIFI is available in all common rooms and guest rooms. We do have central air in addition to individual units in the guest rooms.

Breakfast is available in our dining room from 8-10 am daily, earlier by arrangement. Weekdays choose from a selection of specialty granolas, fresh fruit, yogurt, bread for toast, muffins and /or coffee cake. In addition on weekends a full breakfast is served from 8:30-9:30 am. We try to use some of the foods produced on the farm when possible. Frittatas made with our fresh eggs, seasonal herbs and vegetables: Pancakes or waffles served with our own maple syrup: baked goods and jams made with fruits from our own trees or local orchards.

A small refrigerator and microwave are located in the dining room for your convenience. Coffee, tea, water and soft drinks are always available. We do not serve alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own. Breakfast is included with you stay but it is the only meal we serve. We are happy to suggest a few of our favorites for dinner if you don’t already have plans. A charcoal grill and picnic table are located off the south end of the porch if you wish to use them.

The front porch is our favorite place to spend time when we have a free moment. Complete with rocking chairs, a porch swing and wicker furniture, it is the ideal place for a friendly game of checkers. It’s wonderful to sit out first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee and the paper; but just as inviting on warm summer nights to sit, enjoy the breeze and watch the sun set.

The great outdoors is waiting to be explored. North Guilford has plenty of nature and animals, both domestic and wild. At the moment a cow named Molly lives in the pasture behind the house: the chicken coup is home to a new batch of chickens that should start laying eggs by spring: Hillary the bison is residing across the road and our Fallow deer are staying put in the barnyard. Guests can wander on our property or take a short drive and enjoy all Guilford has to offer.
